Forge Pottery
Do you have any information on the Pigeon Forge Pottery?

The Pigeon Forge Pottery was founded by Douglas Ferguson in 1946. He created many sculptures based on the animals in the Smokey Mountain area near Pigeon Forge, Tn. Over the years, many people on vacation visited the pottery with family members, to watch the items being made. As they left, they would pick up an item or two in rememberance of their trip. If you have a story or information to share, please respond, we would love to hear it!

I live in Memphis, Tennessee and I actually went to Pigeon Forge with my parents about 15 years ago. We saw the pottery being made and I believe that my parents picked up a couple of pieces. Whether or not they still have them, I don’t have a clue. But I can remember watching all that!!! I plan on driving to Gatlinburg, TN in the next couple of months, is the pottery store still open?!?!
