How do you remove water based paint from a bathtub? My landlord hand painted my tub by hand….?
My landlord hand painted the bottom half of my bathtub with interior water based paint because the enamel is worn. The paint is chipping and it is disgusting. I would like to remove the paint without further damaging the already scratched worn enamel so I can eventually have a bath instead of always having a shower. Please help….
Try Goof Off. Then go to a good hardware store and check on coatings that you can use to cover the bottom of the tub properly. Barring that, you can buy a tub insert that acts like a whole new tub but it’s just a big piece of molded material that you can install right over your old tub to make it look like new. I don’t like to frequent Home Depot because they promote the hiring of illegal immigrants but….Home Depot has classes every week and they have people who will tell you how to do this easily and correctly.
