can you eat out of handmade glazed pottery?

I made a pot in art class recently and i was wondering if it was safe to eat out of them? It has been fired and glazed.

You need to find out what brand of glaze was used, and find out from the manufacturer whether it is food-safe or not. If the containers it originally arrived in are still there, it probably says on those. If not, you should be able to find out by asking your art teacher, or contacting the company, once you know the brand and type of glaze.
